We’ve gathered thoughts and stories from neighbors about their experiences with Tilson’s work in our community. From blocked streets and damaged property to frustrating communication issues, these shared experiences highlight the real impact of their projects. This section provides a snapshot of how Tilson’s actions have affected our neighborhoods and the challenges residents continue to face.

  • Water was fixed by LVVWD after I protested to Tilson, Reps Brendan Vargas and John Pope, and they were copied direct it LVVWD and got resolution. Sidewalk is still crumbled and no one has cleaned up.

  • My concerns have been totally ignored because They are not immediately in front of my home. Apparently It's not to be a concern if the neighborhood that I live in and the streets that I Travel have been completely ravaged and made unsafe.Or impossible

  • It has now been +3 months since main work was completed but side walks are still in disrepair and asphalt repair not completed resulting in chucks of lose asphalt. I have emailed Tilson and the city twice since voicing issues at a meeting in September. Tilson responds next day noting that they don't have a timeline but are working on it which is worthless. It has now been over 3-months since any work has been done in the area.

  • I represent the 22 homeowners of Marycrest Manor. As the HOA president I took on the burden/responsibility to be the voice of the community and the direct contact with Tilson since I attended the first community meeting and was aware of issues that other neighborhoods were having. The issues we incurred are as follows: 1.) It started with the grass and irrigation sprinklers. Their equipment would drive over the lawn tearing out tons of grass and crushing sprinkler heads. We replaced the grass and initial sprinkler heads on our own. 2.) the vacuum truck they use has a very tall attachment on it. They drove along the street and took down several very large Olive Tree branches. These branches are over 15 feet high, some of them above 20 feet. Many of them fell after the fact and onto the sidewalk and street which is a Liability for us as they could have fallen on a person or car. No recovery was requested as you can not get branches back so we didn't bother. However, I did watch them as they did this, and confronted the driver of the truck, telling them that they needed to be careful of the branches. He basically said "don't worry we'll take care of it after." and continued to absolutely ram into our trees. 3.) They broke a main water line during digging. This was fixed same day. 4.) They poured asphalt over our landscaping completely covering several sprinklers and much of the irrigation lines. This caused a huge water run off issue and needed to be taken care of right away or the SNWA would fine us for water waste. It cost roughly $795 and we were reimbursed by Tilson later. 5.) They pierced one of the sewer lines with the fiber optic cable. This was undetectable at the time and wasn't until a month later that the line started to back up and sewage was going into the home. We called a plumber to snake the line twice at a cost of $100 each time. When that didn't work they recommended to flush the line. This cost $1200. When that didn't work we hired a new plumber to scope the line at a cost of $300. They couldn't tell what the issue was but thought it might be a tree branch and quoted us $4900 to fix it. It took us a month to save up the cost of this all the while sewage occasionally backing up into the home and having to pay $100 each time for a temporary fix by snaking it. When we finally were able to pay the plumber to excavate and replace the pipe, they discovered that it was the fiber cable piercing the line. They repaired this. I called Tilson and coordinated with them to come and dig at the sidewalk (where the line was pierced) since they already had the permit and equipment to do so. I recommended to Tilson that they pay our plumber directly for the $4900 and they agreed. Payment is pending. We did not ask for the $1400 it cost us to temporarily fix and flush the line before excavating. 6.) Although the sidewalk in front of our buildings were finished, the sidewalks on the rest of St Louis, 14th, 15th and Bonita are still in disarray after 3 months.

  • There was zero notice of planned work. No door hangers, no mailers, nothing. Workers just showed up one day and ran roughshod over our entire block. They showed a complete lack of regard for our property by dropping a heavy, 30 pound hole cover directly onto newly planted landscaping. We caught it only because we had a ring doorbell which captured video. When we went outside (waving our arms wildly) the crew looked at us like we had two heads. They never apologized and seemed dumbfounded that we would be upset that they had damaged our property. We immediately emailed a complaint (with the ring video attached) to John Pope, who promptly replied and came out to visit our property several days later. He filed a damage report on our behalf and acknowledged that (duh) workers should have respected our property, respected us, etc. etc. When Pope visited our property to assess the damage, another neighbor came over to ask if this was the "complaint department," and reported that workers had also damaged his property, even leaning their equipment against his car. He also verified our claim that our block received zero notice of any planned work. The company is rogue and unprofessional. More disturbing, however, is that months later, and after who knows how many complaints, they've done nothing to train their crews and curb their worst tendencies. Instead, they seem to enjoy causing damage everywhere they go. This company has no business having any contracts with the City of Las Vegas.

  • Between the hours of 8-11am on Dec 11th, 2024, employees of Tilson Tech, L.L.C. towed my 1999 Toyota 4Runner -- having provided no notification nor warning of any kind for this illegal act.

I woke up on the morning of 11 Dec and noticed that vehicle was missing. I immediately called Metro assuming it had been stolen. As I soon discovered, Tilson had towed my truck, damaging it in the process -- it longer starts and the parking brake no longer works to even safely park it.

Further, after towing my vehicle they left it unlocked for at least three hours, leaving it open to theft. No notice nor warning nor explanation of this event occurred. They simply towed my truck, damaging it in the process. It is currently parked across the street, in an area slated for future Tilson's work. No doubt it will be towed and damaged again -- unless something is done to stop them.

When I asked the Tilson workers on my street at approx. 11am who the foreman/person in charge was, they became belligerent and insisted they had no idea where their boss was and yelled at me to quit speaking to them.

  • My biggest concern is on-going issues and laten issues in the future. Since it is such an abrasive process. I can make a very good guess there are hairline cracks in our systems that will not be revealed until much later. Also, our seniors in the neighborhoods might not have advocates to help with decisions in these matters.

  • My drive way was blocked so I couldn't get out all day.

    10th/Canosa

  • There was a huge hole in front of our driveway that was just getting bigger until they filled it with asphalt yesterday (on 12/16) so we’ll see how well they actually fixed it. Not confident in their work at all based on issues I’ve heard from neighbors.

    Wengert/17th

  • Seems wherever they go, they leave a wake, and wherever they are, it’s twenty vehicles for three blocks. Caught them Tuesday running traffic with signs on 8th street where absolutely zero work was done there that day.

    8th/Bonita

  • No notice for street and right of way closures. Still have not seen anything.

Mild backup in sewer that camw feom the street towards my home slowing septic usage that I snaked myself due to needing to work due to grave and late swing schedule.

Sidewalk repairs on street still not remedied.

Workers leaving personal trash on property consistently and creating cleanup that wouldn't be needed in a normal environment in the neighborhood.

Confusing signage and road redirection by staff and lack of ground level crew communication borderline ignorance and avoidance.

    Griffith/Burnham

  • None of the sidewalks in our area have ever been repaired. There are uneven asphalt patches and “temporary” yellow coverings all over the place. Tilden has not returned to finish this work so it has been left in this state for nearly 2 months.

I had my driveway blocked numerous times and had to request that Tilson vehicles be moved.

The traffic flaggers pay no attention to the cars they are directing. I have been directed to back out of my driveway into oncoming traffic. I have been flagged to go through intersections while the cars opposite are coming toward me. I have been yelled at to go and keep moving through areas and traffic where it was not safe to do so.

I have been solicited countless times by AT&T and I will NEVER sign up for their services after the experience we’ve had with Tilson’s presence in our neighborhoods.

  • Both driveways were cracked, new fence was stained with splashes of cement, workers leaning their equipment on my fence. Neighbors yard torn up near sidewalk and was never put back together even after I point out to them multiple times. Never received any warning of work. Sidewalk even more sunk in than before. Was hoping with several power washes fence would come clean. Still has stained areas.

  • No sawcutting done on concrete panels that previous owners had poured to fill in landscape area. They half assed with hoe ram. "Operator" popped adjacent panel while digging improperly at an angle with excavator, and didn't clear debris under popped panel to try and reset, or pull it to re-pour. So now I have a lovely cold mix filled trip hazard. They will most likely fan the concrete in at the badly "cut" panel and not remove entire panel properly, which will crack under pressure. I have "before" photos AND video showing what they did. If they did this on one of my job sites they'd be going home. But we have standards...

  • Water main is covered up with dirt and inaccessible, there are also still open 8" deep holes all around the network box in the ground.

  • My house is luckily on a corner. The first day Tilson was on my street, a trailer was parked blocking half my driveway entrance on Crestwood. On day 2 the trailer was moved back to only block a foot of the entrance and a smaller truck was backed up to it. Precision driving would let me squeeze out. On day 3 the trailer had been moved back but all day a large construction truck was parked across my driveway. When I motioned to workers that I would be leaving, they motioned back that someone would move it. They didn't and I had to drive over my yard to slip out over the curb on Wengert between 2 trucks. When I returned, the large truck was still there and hooked up to the trailer blocking my driveway so I had to back over the curb/sidewalk on Wengert to get back to my house. On day 4, the day after the first post was made regarding issues, my driveway was not blocked.

    Crestwood/Wengert

  • From the beginning, they decided to use our already flimsy fence to throw their belongings. When asked nicely because I mean it is our property, they were snarky. The next issue was asking them what they were doing to our water meter. Our meter is on the sidewalk but belongs to us. The site manager of the day or whoever he was gave so much attitude talking about “I know what we’re doing, don’t come out here and tell us how to do the job we know what it is”. That resulted in them completely CEMENTING our water meter. We have no access to shut it off in case a flood. They destroyed part of our turf also that is along the sidewalk. Again still on our property.

    Saint Louis/16th

  • When saw cutting they sprayed over my landscape rocks and left them like that plus no fixing of surfaces and instead creating more damage.

    Maryland Pkwy/Charleston

  • I'm amazed they get anything done correctly as they spend more time in their trucks and driving around these neighborhoods then they spend outside working on the messes they create. In short these idiots are useless and the city is paying them ... where are the city of LV inspectors??

    Charleston Blvd/Decatur

  • On a Friday afternoon around 3:15pm about 8 Tilson employees were running around in front of my house on the lawn and on the drive way. They chasing each other and throwing water at each other for about 15 minutes then left a mess of empty water bottles on my drive way and on the front lawn.

    Oakey/Maryland

  • They have damaged the perimeter of bricks we have placed on our property, we have seen them use those said bricks to hold up certain things for their work area. We have waited weeks for them to come and pour concrete on the sidewalk. Where they placed the internet box was where we had installed fake grass, they have stolen our fake grass that was worth a lot because of the issue of them not pouring concrete. In multiple occasion they have left water bottles, cokes, and food on my property. Workers are rude when you ask them to move the trucks so I can leave my property. My daughter has been occasionally harassed and sexualized by these workers, they have cat called her several times and she ins 14 years old.

    Franklin/15th

  • When they were breaking the sidewalk they failed to properly sawcut the hole first and went right into jackhammering, causing the adjacent sidewalk to crack completely in 2 parts. Also no notice was recieved before they started working.

    Oakey/8th Pl

  • I got a notice on my door about work to be done and no one knew anything about it, called me once saying they would get back to me and never did.

Since "taking over" the area they act as if they are all powerful and don't give a hoot how they effect our lives by interacting in a way that is respectful of our community. Much of this could be resolved with communication, and integrity.

  • Received a letter taped to our vehicles and my trailer, saying we were gonna be towed, the letter seemed bogus and made up just for these tow guys to make money. My gf needs to get to her classes in the morning and sometimes they’re blocking the driveway and can’t get out. I mentioned it to them so far they have been compliant though they don’t like it when being asked, seem like they get frustrated I don’t know. The pavement on the street it’s a mess, big cracks down the side walk and the repair it’s just a chuck asphalt piled on there. Wish there was photos we can share but hopefully this complaint will work and get these guys out of here. I worked hard for the internet to be working with no problem the way I wanted to work for our home for the right price and these Tilson company came to ruin our neighborhood.

  • Well Tilson's insurance has agreed to finally pay me three fourths of replacing and connecting my sewer line. They say they will pay more if found they're liable, which I think un doubtedly they are.

They broke my sewer line in October. My house flooded and I had to replace all the flooring and some parts of the walls. I lived in a hotel for over a month.

The work still wasn't finished at that point because they wouldn't pre emptively pay to hook me back to the city. I took out a personal loan with a very high interest to cover it. When I was hooked back up it still wasn't working, and my plumber found that the city sewer itself was full of asphalt and material that they poured into it.

Thanks to my plumber the city came and has been working ever since.

Rooter Ranger in Las Vegas has all kinds of footage of the damage and will testify if needed.

They've done damage to basically all of Jessica Avenue.

Once everything in my house is put back together I think I'm selling it. This process has broken me.

  • Speed bumps totally taken out on 15 th st. Streets are still torn up and not repaired properly and sidewalks. Workers who can not direct traffic. Major damage done to our neighborhood streets and sidewalks. Now the soliciting of Internet.

  • I frequently work from home and can say that 90% of the time that they put up no parking signs, there is no work being done. When they do work, there are not any no parking signs out. My neighbor parks in front of my house so they always knock on my door to ask me to move the car, but it’s always a surprise with no notice and not a single no parking sign. The sidewalks in Crestwood are a mess with crumbly asphalt and yellow covers (many of which now have dangerous holes in them) all over the place. It’s impossible to push a stroller on the sidewalks now or for the little kids to safely use scooters or bikes. I feel so bad for anyone who uses a wheelchair because there is no way they can navigate these sidewalks. We can’t walk/ride on the streets next to the sidewalk because they’re filled with no parking signs so we literally have to be in the middle of the street. They also block driveways all the time. I was leaving my house at 7:45am to take my kid to preschool and a truck was blocking my driveway. I had to bang on the truck and shout to get the attention of the worker inside. He was not in the driver or passenger seat, he was in the back part with no windows and honestly looked like I woke him up. Meanwhile my kid is alone in the car wondering where her mom is while I’m banging and screaming like a maniac at 7:45am!

  • Issues with sidewalk or road damage (cracks, unfinished work), Cable and internet go out every day sometimes 30 minutes other times it’s couple hours!

  • They left my front landscaping a mess. They left the streets dirty and gravely. They blocked roads so I couldn't get to work.

  • Mainly blocking of my street with their trucks, I have to keep getting out of my car to talk to them to have them move.

Just concerned about my neighbors needing medical or emergency services and not being able to have fire or medical make it down the streets

  • The work Tilson is doing on my street has been in progress for 28 days. Two days prior to Thanksgiving Tilson dug a hole in the sidewalk in front of my house, and the hole also extends into my yard. The hole is covered improperly, leaving the area dug into my yard exposed. While I received a flyer on my door that Tilson would be doing work in the area, it was weeks prior to when the work actually began. Since then, there has been no notice of when they will be working on our street, and twice my driveway has been blocked by their large trucks. This morning, as I was getting ready to leave for work, I was surprised to see (and hear) Tilson workers digging into my driveway, and my neighbor's driveway, just above the water main. With the digging in progress, they could not move the truck and I was delayed leaving for work. My driveway was blocked for over an hour. They have also "red taped" off a couple of yards down the street, which I have not seen them do before. Again, no notice. When the project began I reached out to Tilson with questions. I spoke with John Pope, who clearly is aware of our concerns and issues - as he began answering questions I had not even asked. The only info he could/would not supply was a timeline or a schedule for the work. Also, Tilson workers, while not hostile per se, have been dismissive and condescending, and have little regard for us. They are also unable, or unwilling, to answer questions. Currently, I have a cracked curb in front of my house, and an ever growing hole in my yard. Our street and curbsides, overall though, are a mess. I have been told that will all be repaired and restored. Work is still in progress on my street, however, and I am concerned about both short and longer term impacts (including proper restoration of streets and sidewalks, my yard, and now my driveway).

    10th/Bonita

  • Sidewalks throughout the neighborhood are inaccessible. The yellow plates are stacked without regard for those with disabilities. Tilson shows no regard for the most vulnerable of our population who have physical disabilities and now are not able to even go outside for fresh air. Additionally, the loose temporary pavement not being compacted making other areas impassable and causing damage to mobility devices (wheelchairs).

    John S Park

  • For over a month, I was unable to leave my house during the day, with no notice. They also dug holes and ripped up the street in several spots and never finished it or completed the work.
